Biggest Insurance Brokers for Biggest Businesses

Biggest Brokers for Big Business - Zupnick Associates Insurance Employee Benefits Broker NYC - Unsplash

Insurance brokers for big businesses help to make managing employee benefits easier. Insurance is one of the most important factors that employees look at when choosing an employer. This is why HR professionals, CEOs, and business owners look closely at the different options available when it comes to offering health insurance coverage. This type of coverage can be quite complex, and extremely expensive. With this in mind, it is important to find the right balance between the quality of the coverage being offered, and the costs for both employers and employees. One way to do this is to look at some of the largest and most successful employers in the country, and find out which insurance brokers they use.

Benefits for Walmart

Walmart is the largest private employer in the United States. They claim that more than 95% of their US employees have health insurance coverage, but that is from all sources, not just insurance provided by the company. Most employees of Walmart have the option to purchase health insurance through the company benefits package. They will have options provided by four separate third party administrators, which are Aetna, BlueAdvantage Administrators of Arkansas, HealthSCOPE Benefits, and United Healthcare.

Amazon Benefits

Amazon is another massive employer in the US, with more than half a million employees. This number can jump significantly during the holiday season when they hire on a large number of temporary employees. Most employees at Amazon are offered insurance. The insurance is provided by Premera Blue Cross (HSA). In addition to the HSA plan, employees will have separate prescription coverage, dental coverage, and vision coverage.

IBM Benefits

IBM has about 380,000 employees, many of whom work in the United States. As one of the largest tech companies in the world, they work hard to provide their employees with a competitive compensation and benefits package. The insurance policies and related benefits for IBM employees are administered by Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United HealthCare. The specific options that are available are based on the state in which the employee is working.

FedEx Benefits

FedEx is a global shipping company that has more than 300,000 employees working in a wide range of different positions. Their health insurance policies are administered by Cigna and Anthem, depending on where the employee is working. With multiple different policy options, employees can get the coverage they need at a reasonable cost.

Finding the Right Brokers for Business Insurance Brokers

Growing companies need to be able to attract and retain top talent in order to ensure they can compete in their markets. For employers in the United States, one of the biggest things (other than pay) that potential employees look at is the type of insurance benefits they will receive. As an employer, it is important to find the right balance between giving employees the coverage they need, and keeping overall costs at an acceptable level. This typically means finding an insurance brokers for big business.

The list of some of the largest employers in the United States indicates that finding a good insurance administrator or broker to manage the policy is a great option. Even smaller businesses, however, can also take advantage of this strategy. While these are the brokers for big businesses, they can also help with small to mid-sized companies. No matter the size of your growing business, make sure you take the time to understand all your options when it comes to insurance benefits for you and your employees.
